GlobalTestMarket is a unique online community where consumers from around the world participate in the development of new-to-the-world products and services by partaking in on-line surveys. It is sponsored by Global Market Insite, Inc. (GMI). GlobalTestMarket was founded in August 1999 as a division of Global Market Insite, Inc. The intention was to develop a global solution for companies who wish to conduct online consumer research across multiple countries. GTM is now active in over 200 countries.
Membership is free of charge and is open internationally. You will be invited to participate in a variety of surveys where you can influence the people who are developing new products or creating new services.
Members participate in surveys to earn MarketPoints - the online currency, which is convertible to cash. Each invitation will tell you how many MarketPoints you will earn for completing the study. The number of points will vary depending on two factors: (1) the urgency of the test -- more urgent tests will offer higher incentives, and (2) the length of the survey. The more time required on your part, the larger the number of MarketPoints awarded. Minimum earning from a usual survey is 50 marketpoints.
The minimum number of points needed to convert points to cash is 1000 points. 1000 points are equivalent to $50. You will be paid by cheque when you reach $50.
The best way to get more surveys is to complete all profiles in the My Profiles area of your account. Keeping the profiles complete and up to date will result in your being invited to participate in more surveys.
There is also a referral program - you earn 20 MarketPoints every time you refer a friend.
